Valencia's green spaces and parks are a greatplace for winding down after a heavyday's sightseeing, studying, working, partying, etc.
The Royal Gardens (Jardines del Real) are very popular, and there are plenty little bars and cafes. Culture fans can check out the Natural Science Museum and those who love animals can visit the zoo, both of which are located within the Garden premises.
The Botanical Garden (C/Quart, 80, tel. +34-963156800) is open every day except Monday, and is particularly important since it was the very first botanical garden to be opened in Spain. A huge variety of trees and plants, rare species and themed areas (such as the cactus house, rockery and exotic plants section) make this a rather special place to spend the day.
