Camping is a cheap and cheerful accommodation option, especially around Valencia where the climate is undoubtedly hot. This is worth bearing in mind when pitching a tent - unless you find a shaded area you're likely to be woken up feeling as if you were inside an oven, as the sun's rays beat down on your tent and heat you up. Bearing this in mind, it's definitely a good idea to find a campsite with a swimming pool or on the beach front, so that a quick submersion in water to restore body temperature to something approximating its natural state is always an easily accessible option!
The comunidad de Valencia can be divided into 3 sections: Northern Valencia, Central Valencia and the Costa Blanca. All regions have their own camping grounds located in the middle of nature, along the beach or near too their main tourist attractions. Most campsites have excellent camping facilities and some even offer bungalows for those that need a little bit more comfort.
